Per Scholas: IT Support & Systems Fundamentals (Fall 2025)
Network Setup and Troubleshooting for Small Businesses
The primary objective of this project is to enable learners to design and implement a functional local area network (LAN) tailored for a small business environment. Learners will address network setup challenges such as configuring IP addresses, securing the network with firewalls, and resolving common connectivity issues. By the end of the project, learners will be able to build and secure a basic network infrastructure.
Windows Server Deployment and Administration for Enterprise Environments
The goal of this project is to equip learners with hands-on experience in deploying and administering a Windows Server environment. Learners will solve real-world infrastructure challenges by installing and configuring Active Directory, managing user roles and permissions, applying group policies, and deploying operating systems using Windows Deployment Services (WDS). By the end of the project, learners will understand the core components of enterprise-level Windows Server management.
IT Support & Systems Troubleshooting Project
The goal is to evaluate our current help desk processes and create improved documentation for common support issues. Learners will analyze patterns, provide suggested workflow updates, and produce end-user guides.
